Ekebergparken Sculpture Park

A good way of combining sightseeing and art is to visit a sculpture park, such as Ekebergparken. This attraction in Oslo is within a few minutes reach from the city centre. A walking tour through the park would be an ideal way to spend a day during the summers.
Ekebergparken showcases sculptures created by renowned artists like James Turrell, Sarah Lucas, Roni Horn, and Louise Bourgeois. The masterpieces displayed here include the Levitating Woman by Matt Johnson, Eva by Auguste Rodin, and Deep Cream Maradona by Sarah Lucas. Additionally, the park also has traces of history in the form of ruins and rock carvings dating back to 900-400 BC. This park is ranked amongst the top 5 sculpture gardens in the world. A walk across the park takes you through great pieces of art and spectacular landscapes in the vicinity. Apart from the 90-minutes and 60-minutes walking tours, the park also conducts sunset/sunrise sessions to view the magnificent light installations created by James Turrell. The park is open for visitors all day long throughout the year.
